It isn’t all about the travel!
In fact, the Junior Branch is the very heart and soul of CISV, and members enjoy year-long activities that include monthly meetings, activities such as ice skating and movie nights, and participating in events to support local charities.
The Junior Branch comprises young local CISVers between the ages of 10 – 25, who develop intercultural and leadership skills through educational and social activities.
Juniors manage their own activities and take an active role in the administrative responsibilities of their chapters. Operating through a network at the national and international level, Juniors organize their own programs on a wide variety of themes, such as social justice and the environment.
Junior Branch activities are aimed at building community, developing skills and promoting peace through education.
CISV Jacksonville’s Junior Branch has many ways you can get involved:

- Attend Minicamps. We participate in 3 minicamps per year. One over President’s Day weekend in February, one over Memorial Day weekend and one over Labor Day or another Fall weekend. Learn more and register for our February minicamp here. See the photo album from last year’s minipcamp here.
- Volunteer for a monthly JB planning group:
- Join the local CISV Jacksonville Junior Branch Board.
To join our JB text list to stay on top of CISV JB Activities, text “@cisvjbjax” to 81010. We also post events in the events section on this website or visit our CISV Jacksonville Junior Branch Instagram account.
You can apply to join the local Junior Branch board in late March of each year. Junior Branch members are elected at our Chapter’s Spring General Meeting.
