CISV educates and inspires action for a more just and peaceful world.
To select youth age 12-18 for the Interchange, Step Up, Youth Meeting and Fortnight programs, CISV Jacksonville hosts one event.
Selection events are intended to give kids a chance to see what CISV games and activities are like, to give parents greater understanding of CISV’s educational principles and program details, and to give our chapter the opportunity to get to know the youth and leader applicants.
We are also offering a CISV 101 from 2:15-3:30, which is an introductory presentation by past CISV participants and their parents.
Interchange candidates are selected based on their application, home visit and this event. Interchange applicants are generally selected on a first come, first served basis.
All applicants and their parents (other than interchange parents) will be interviewed during this event. Please complete your application before the event. We encourage your child to bring a friend to the event.
Youth will be chaperoned at the overnight. CISV maintains a 1 adult to 8 youth ratio at the overnight event.
Parents of youth applying for Step Up or Youth Meeting sign up for an interview here.
Parents of youth applying for Youth Meeting, Interchange, Step Up or Fortnight should also sign up to bring a food item here.
