Child Protection Policies:
CISV International maintains robust child protection policies and procedures, regularly reviewed and updated. CISV USA aligns its procedures with national legislation, ensuring compliance.
Training and Screening:
All program staff and leaders undergo comprehensive child protection, risk management, and leadership training. Our volunteers, many of whom are parents themselves, are locally selected, carefully screened, and background-checked.
Health and Safety Measures:
- A thorough risk assessment precedes every program, supported by our network of experienced Risk Managers.
- Participants carry insurance and provide detailed medical information.
- At least one first-aid qualified staff is present at each program.
- Hosting families undergo meticulous screening and background checks.
- In the rare event of illness or accident, parents are promptly informed and provided with detailed information on the actions taken.
At CISV, we are committed to creating memorable and secure experiences for your child, backed by decades of expertise in organizing camp-based programs and family-hosted exchanges. Your child’s safety remains our utmost priority.
