In collaboration with the Jacksonville Sister Cities Association, CISV Jacksonville is offering an interchange with South Korea for students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. The program has 2 phases: a hosting phase in Jacksonville in January 2025 or 2026 and a travel phase in South Korea in July 2025. Families can participate in 1 or both phases. Preference is for families who participate in both phases.
South Korean students will spend 10 days in January 2025 in Jacksonville living with a US host family.
Jacksonville students will spend from July 9, 2025 to July 15, 2025, in Changwon City, South Korea living with a Korean host family.
During their visits to each country, the traveling students will shadow their host students as they attend classes. Students will also visit local historical sites, parks, museums and participate in other planned group activities with their host student.
Fees include airfare from Jacksonville to Changwon City, South Korea as well as meals, accomodations and group activities during the month of January in Jacksonville and the month of July in Changwon City, South Korea. It is also recommended that students have approximately $45-$50 per day for shopping, snacks, souvenirs & other incidentals while on tour in Changwon.
