President’s Message

A Message from CISV Jacksonville President Kerry McClure

Dear Friends,

On July 4, join us for 360 degrees of fireworks, pool party and cookout at the Taylors at 1851 Mallory St 32205.  Register here.

Last call to apply for Leadership and Service Week from July 17-24. Open to youth age 14 to 16 years old.  Apply for Leadership & Service Week. 

Interchange is underway with Brazil. Five families from Jacksonville are matched with five Brazilian families and engaging in in-person local and virtual activities with their new friends.

We had a blast with the Faces of Jacksonville camp.  Thanks to the camp staff and Junior Counselors that made it a success.

We will be planning for international camps in summer 2022 and re-invigorating the chapter.  Please sign up for a volunteer role here.

CISV volunteers at Humane Society

For youth age 14 to 16 years old, CISV is planning a one week local camp
that will combine the leadership development activities
like those conducted at a Step Up camp and local service projects. Learn more about the week-long program.We will start with a mini-camp on Sat, July 17,
then Monday to Friday July 19-23 with in-person camp activities and service projects and ending with a Saturday morning debrief on Sat, July 24.

$150 for the program plus costs like lunches, transportation, etc.

CISV Jacksonville held a 2 week local mini-Village program
called FACES.  The program had over 24 participants representing many different cultures and was supported by an awesome group of staff and Junior Counselors.

VIRTUAL INTERCHANGE
with Brazil for girls age 12-13

Local interchange delegation visits St. Augustine 

The Sao Paolo chapter of Brazil has matched with Jacksonville families for a virtual interchange with our chapter.  We are combining some in-person local activities with virtual meetings with our Brazilian partners.
