November 14, 2019
Thanks to all of you that helped make our recent events, including the Fall General Meeting and Reveal and Southern Regional Minicamp such a success.
We were proud to bring one of the largest groups to CISV’s National Meeting in Atlanta. Jacksonville also hosted and sent more kids to programs than any other chapter in the USA. This is a testament to the hard work our kids, parents and volunteers do every day to make CISV Jacksonville a success.
Join us for a Junior Branch activity on November 16th Saturday night at 6:30 for a Stocking-a-thon at 1868 Christopher Point Road South. The Junior Branch will be assembling stockings for Sulzbacher.
Please apply for our 2020 programs. Click here for the application page.
Finally don’t forget CISV in your charitable giving. Giving Tuesday is December 3rd. You can also select CISV Jacksonville for smile.amazon.com for all your Amazon shopping during the year.

Our Jr Branch activity on sustainability at candy companies was a great success. Plus we had lots of exciting 2020 programs to announce at our Fall Reveal & General Membership Meeting. The highlight of the event was 2020 reveal which was kicked off with a Kahoot Quiz giving us clues about our locations. Drum roll, please…

Southern Regional Minicamp
Southern Regional Minicamp was hosted at Camp Suwanee Fri, Nov 8 – Monday, Nov 11.
Thank you to the amazing Jacksonville chapterones
Kudos to the Local Jr. Reps – Delaney & Kristin – who planned an out-of-this-world space age camp with their fellow LJRs from Miami, Smoky Mtn, Atlanta & Chattanooga chapters.
We are also grateful to all the kids who attended and their parents who made the long drive to Camp Suwanee.
We’re tracking the time volunteers spend on tasks through a game! Understanding the hours you contribute will allow us to KNOW how much time any job really takes, and therefore be better able to manage manpower in the future. In addition, this information helps us apply to grants and other types of financial support.
It’s incredibly EASY. Please log your volunteer hours spent here:
Every hour earns you a raffle ticket for prizes at a friend raising event in the Fall of 2020. Thanks for playing!!
