Interchanges Build Friendships
In CISV Interchanges, Jacksonville families host children for 2 weeks and then their children go live for 2 weeks with their interchange partners’ families. Jacksonville participated in interchanges with Denmark for 12-13 year olds and with France for 14-15 year olds.

“It was amazing to watch all of our delegates form life long friendships,
while pushing themselves out of their comfort zones and
learning about other cultures at the same time.”
– Darci, Interchange Leader
“During my Interchange in Copenhagen, I experienced a new culture and lifestyle that was completely new to me. Everyone was very kind and welcomed me with open arms. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget!”
– Ella, Interchange Delegate

Seminar –
the Pinnacle CISV Program
Four Jacksonville teenagers attended Seminar Camp this summer. Seminar Camps include about 30 youth between age 17 and 18 from around the world. Participants develop their own agenda and explore global issues based on their backgrounds and interests, through activities and in-depth discussions.
“It was a super fun and a unique experience to live, plan, and cook with my new buddies from around the world while exploring Finland.”
– Alex, Seminar Camp in Finland
“Seminar was by far the best experience I’ve had with CISV because of the in depth conversations and mature topics I was able to discuss with all of the participants. Also, because of the camp only having 21 participants, I was able to form extremely close bonds with every delegate. I am so grateful for my seminar experience and I’m thankful for every memory I’ve made and for my personal growth.”
– Emma, Seminar Camp in Guatemala
