Our awesome CISV Jacksonville Junior Branch Board are planning an amazing mini camp for you. \nFun theme: Spies\nSerious theme: Conflict and Resolution\nSince many of the participants are from different schools\, the minicamp will start with “name games” and other “getting to know you activities so don’t worry about not knowing anyone when the camp begins. Saturday and Sunday will be full days with 4-5 activities surrounding this theme. Each activity will be followed by a “debrief” where we discuss our “attitudes\, skills and knowledge” that have been changed or influenced by the activity. \nHow do I register?\nEmail colesjp@gmail.com if you would like to register and he will send you the registration link.  We have still have space available.  Please join us!\nHow much does it cost?\n$150 if you register by Feb 1. The camp fills quickly and registrations may not be available after Feb 1. Any late registration would be $175. Several partial scholarships may be available based on need. Marywood Retreat and Conference Center rests on the St. Johns River just minutes from Jacksonville and St. Augustine. Its 100 acres of beautiful tranquility is accented with towering live oak trees and gardens making it a perfect environment for any type of gathering. Informal carpools are encouraged. We do need to know on your registration form\, who will be picking up your camper on Monday. \nWhat should I bring?\n• A snack to share. Don’t bring snacks that need to be refrigerated\n• Comfy clothes you can move in\n• Dress for the weather! It can be cool in Feb. Enough for 3 days\n• Sleeping bag or sheets and blanket. DESCRIPTION:It takes a Village to host a Village!  Our chapter will be hosting about 75 people from at least 15 countries for a month this summer.  As a Chapter we will provide shelter\, security\, food and supervision for this 28-day camp experience.  To help raise funds to support this hosting effort\, we will conduct a We  CISV Pledge Drive during the week of Valentine’s Day.\nIf you want to help contact CISVJax alumni and friends for their support\, please contact Josie Summa at josiecisvjax@gmail.com to find out more!  \nThe Pledge Drive kicks off with a fun “phone banking event” on Feb 10th from 5:30 to 9 PM\,  which will include food\, camaraderie and FUN as we reach out to past CISVJax members across the country.  Register to join us to help with this important event.   We have a list of ~600 alumni and friends to reconnect with!\nWe will be contacting our CISV friends to donate to help fund the Village we are hosting this summer.  See how donations can impact our Village plans here.\nWant to know what a Village is like?  Here’s a short video from Jacksonville’s 2015 Village and here’s a video from our first Village from 1978 with narration by CISV Founder Doris Allen.\n
