DESCRIPTION:Youth who have registered for the FACES of Jacksonville camp are invited to join CISV for a fun afternoon of activities. \nThis event gives kids a chance to see what CISV games and activities are like and to give parents greater understanding of CISV’s educational principles and program details. \nCISV offers children currently in 4th and 5th grade an opportunity to participate in the 10-day local FACES program\, which is modeled on the international Village program. \nThe activities are generally planned and led by the teenage leaders of the CISV Junior Branch and adults who have led delegations in the past. \nWe will also host a CISV 101\, which is a presentation by past youth participants and parents\, explaining the CISV experience. \nClick to learn more about the FACES Program here. \nHere is a video from a CISV Village in Jacksonville: \n \n  \nThis video was filmed at a CISV Village in Brazil: \n \nLearn more about the selection process here.

DESCRIPTION:Minicamp is Postponed to Nov 8-11\nRSVP for the new dates at this link. \nWhat is Mini Camp?\nMini Camp is an incredible weekend; jam-packed with fun CISV activities\, top notch educational content\, awesome people\, energizers galore\, and so much more! Our awesome group of junior leaders (with the help of their adult counterparts) are planning an amazing mini camp for you and other CISVers from the Southern Region. \nFun theme: Space Age\nSerious theme: Conflict and Resolution\nSince many of the participants are from different towns\, the minicamp will start with “name games” and other “getting to know you activities so don’t worry about not knowing anyone when the camp begins. Saturday and Sunday will be full days with 4-5 activities surrounding this theme. Each activity will be followed by a “debrief” where we discuss our “attitudes\, skills and knowledge” that have been changed or influenced by the activity. SUMMARY: We ♥ CISV Pledge Drive
DESCRIPTION:It takes a Village to host a Village!  Our chapter will be hosting about 75 people from at least 15 countries for a month this summer.  As a Chapter we will provide shelter\, security\, food and supervision for this 28-day camp experience.  To help raise funds to support this hosting effort\, we will conduct a We  CISV Pledge Drive during the week of Valentine’s Day.\nIf you want to help contact CISVJax alumni and friends for their support\, please contact Josie Summa at josiecisvjax@gmail.com to find out more!  \nThe Pledge Drive kicks off with a fun “phone banking event” on Feb 10th from 5:30 to 9 PM\,  which will include food\, camaraderie and FUN as we reach out to past CISVJax members across the country.  Register to join us to help with this important event.   We have a list of ~600 alumni and friends to reconnect with!\nWe will be contacting our CISV friends to donate to help fund the Village we are hosting this summer.  See how donations can impact our Village plans here.\nWant to know what a Village is like?  Here’s a short video from Jacksonville’s 2015 Village and here’s a video from our first Village from 1978 with narration by CISV Founder Doris Allen.\n
