DESCRIPTION:What is Mini Camp?\nMini Camp is an incredible weekend; jam-packed with fun CISV activities\, top notch educational content\, awesome people\, energizers galore\, and so much more! Our awesome CISV Jacksonville Junior Branch Board are planning an amazing mini camp for you. \nFun theme: Disco\nSince many of the participants are from different schools\, the minicamp will start with “name games” and other “getting to know you activities so don’t worry about not knowing anyone when the camp begins. Saturday and Sunday will be full days with 4-5 activities surrounding this theme. Each activity will be followed by a “debrief” where we discuss our “attitudes\, skills and knowledge” that have been changed or influenced by the activity. \nHow do I register?\nYouth participants register here: https://form.jotform.com/82337130653149. \nAdult chaperones and participants age 18+ register here: https://form.jotform.com/200045401158138 \nMinicamp is currently filled.  If you would like to be added to the waiting list\, please email cisvjax@gmail.com.\nHow much does it cost?\n$150 if you register by Feb 1. Marywood Retreat and Conference Center rests on the St. Johns River just minutes from Jacksonville and St. Augustine. Its 100 acres of beautiful tranquility is accented with towering live oak trees and gardens making it a perfect environment for any type of gathering. Informal carpools are encouraged. We do need to know on your registration form\, who will be picking up your camper on Monday. \nWhat should I bring?\n• A individually wrapped snacks to share. Don’t bring snacks that need to be refrigerated\n• Comfy clothes you can move in.  We have a Wild West theme so bring your cowboy/cowgirl and Western wear if you have them.\n• Dress for the weather! It can be cool or hot in Feb. Enough for 2 days\n• Sleeping bag or sheets and blanket. DESCRIPTION:To select youth age 12-17 for the Interchange\, Step Up\, Youth Meeting and Fortnight programs\, CISV Jacksonville hosts one event. \nSelection events are intended to give kids a chance to see what CISV games and activities are like\, to give parents greater understanding of CISV’s educational principles and program details\, and to give our chapter the opportunity to get to know the youth and leader applicants. \nWe are also offering a CISV 101 from 7:15-8:30p\, which is an introductory presentation by past CISV participants and their parents. \nInterchange candidates are selected based on their application\, home visit and this event.  Interchange applicants are generally selected on a first come\, first served basis. \nAll applicants and their parents (other than interchange parents) will be interviewed during this event.  Please complete your application before the event. We encourage your child to bring a friend to the event. \nYouth will be chaperoned at the overnight.  CISV maintains a 1 adult to 8 youth ratio at the overnight event. \nApply for a program using the appropriate form listed here. \nParents of youth applying for Step Up or Youth Meeting sign up for an interview here. \nParents of youth applying for Youth Meeting\, Interchange\, Step Up or Fortnight should also sign up to bring a food item here. \nLearn more about the selection process here. \nWatch the Step Up video!

DESCRIPTION:Minicamp is Postponed to Nov 8-11\nRSVP for the new dates at this link. \nWhat is Mini Camp?\nMini Camp is an incredible weekend; jam-packed with fun CISV activities\, top notch educational content\, awesome people\, energizers galore\, and so much more! Our awesome group of junior leaders (with the help of their adult counterparts) are planning an amazing mini camp for you and other CISVers from the Southern Region. \nFun theme: Space Age\nSerious theme: Conflict and Resolution\nSince many of the participants are from different towns\, the minicamp will start with “name games” and other “getting to know you activities so don’t worry about not knowing anyone when the camp begins. Saturday and Sunday will be full days with 4-5 activities surrounding this theme. Each activity will be followed by a “debrief” where we discuss our “attitudes\, skills and knowledge” that have been changed or influenced by the activity. Follow the Westbound on I-10 directions below.\nWestbound on I-10: Exit I-10 at Exit 283\, US 129\, for Live Oak. From the exit\, turn left onto US 129 south. Proceed south on US 129 into Live Oak and turn right onto State Road 51 (11th St.). At the roundabout\, take the 2nd right onto County Road 136 (hospital exit). Proceed on CR 136 for approximately 16 miles (the road makes a hard left turn 3 miles from your destination). Watch for Advent Christian Village signs. Advent Christian Village’s north entrance will be on the right after the speed limit is reduced to 35 mph.\nEastbound on I-10: Exit I-10 at Exit 258\, Hwy. 53\, for Madison. From the exit\, turn right onto Hwy. 53 south. Proceed south on Hwy. 53 for 14 miles\, turning left onto County Road 250 just after entering Lafayette County. On your registration form\, make sure to mark if you would prefer to drive to or from camp (or if you have no preference) and the amount of people you can fit. You will be contacted before camp with your driving assignment. Plan to drive in at least one direction. \nWe are NOT meeting at South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church (2137 Hendricks Avenue\, Jacksonville\, FL 32207) for carpooling. If you have not heard about carpooling\, please email cisvjax@gmail.com. \nWhat are the transportation arrangements for other chapters?  \nOther chapters are responsible for making their own transportation arrangements to the camp. If you are driving\, please try to arrive at the camp no later than 9pm.  Let us know if you will arrive later. \nWhat should I bring?\n• A snack to share. Don’t bring snacks that need to be refrigerated\n• Comfy clothes you can move in\n• Dress for the weather! It will be hot.  Bring clothes for 3 days.\n• Sleeping bag or sheets and blanket.
