DESCRIPTION:Please join us as we celebrate our 2019 CISV delegates and reveal next year’s exciting programs!\nThere are 2 sessions: one from 3-4 and one from 4-5:30.  You are welcome to come to one or both sessions.\nFrom 3-4:\nYouth Activities:  Youth age 9 and up are invited to join the CISV Junior Branch\, the part of our organization run by our teenagers\, to experience typical CISV games and activities.  Wear clothes you can move in!\nNew Parent /Adult Activities:  While youth participate in Junior Branch activities\, parents are invited to a CISV 101\, a short presentation by parents and kids who have participated in CISV international educational programs.  In the presentation\, youth and adults will share their CISV experiences\, explain the history and goals of CISV. We also discuss what happens at CISV programs and next steps for you or your child to become a CISV participant. DESCRIPTION:Minicamp is Postponed to Nov 8-11\nRSVP for the new dates at this link. \nWhat is Mini Camp?\nMini Camp is an incredible weekend; jam-packed with fun CISV activities\, top notch educational content\, awesome people\, energizers galore\, and so much more! Our awesome group of junior leaders (with the help of their adult counterparts) are planning an amazing mini camp for you and other CISVers from the Southern Region. \nFun theme: Space Age\nSerious theme: Conflict and Resolution\nSince many of the participants are from different towns\, the minicamp will start with “name games” and other “getting to know you activities so don’t worry about not knowing anyone when the camp begins. Saturday and Sunday will be full days with 4-5 activities surrounding this theme. Each activity will be followed by a “debrief” where we discuss our “attitudes\, skills and knowledge” that have been changed or influenced by the activity. Follow the Westbound on I-10 directions below.\nWestbound on I-10: Exit I-10 at Exit 283\, US 129\, for Live Oak. From the exit\, turn left onto US 129 south. Proceed south on US 129 into Live Oak and turn right onto State Road 51 (11th St.). At the roundabout\, take the 2nd right onto County Road 136 (hospital exit). Proceed on CR 136 for approximately 16 miles (the road makes a hard left turn 3 miles from your destination). Watch for Advent Christian Village signs. Advent Christian Village’s north entrance will be on the right after the speed limit is reduced to 35 mph.\nEastbound on I-10: Exit I-10 at Exit 258\, Hwy. 53\, for Madison. From the exit\, turn right onto Hwy. 53 south. Proceed south on Hwy. 53 for 14 miles\, turning left onto County Road 250 just after entering Lafayette County. On your registration form\, make sure to mark if you would prefer to drive to or from camp (or if you have no preference) and the amount of people you can fit. You will be contacted before camp with your driving assignment. Plan to drive in at least one direction. \nWe are NOT meeting at South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church (2137 Hendricks Avenue\, Jacksonville\, FL 32207) for carpooling. If you have not heard about carpooling\, please email cisvjax@gmail.com. \nWhat are the transportation arrangements for other chapters?  \nOther chapters are responsible for making their own transportation arrangements to the camp. Additionally\, the mix of personalities to form the delegation is a factor. It would not be good to put all extreme extroverts together\, for example. \nThe activities are generally planned and lead by the teenage leaders of the Junior Branch and adults who have led delegations in the past.  Having to plan the selection events allows the youth leaders in our chapter to continue to practice their leadership skills. \nAll Village applicants and their parents will be interviewed during one of selection events.  We prefer if youth interested in participating in a Village apply before the selection event but if you are just interested in learning more\, please join us for the events without applying. \nLearn more about the selection process here.

Our awesome CISV Jacksonville Junior Branch Board are planning an amazing mini camp for you. \nFun theme: Dinosaurs\nSerious theme: Sustainable Development\nSince many of the participants are from different schools\, the minicamp will start with “name games” and other “getting to know you activities so don’t worry about not knowing anyone when the camp begins. Saturday and Sunday will be full days with 4-5 activities surrounding this theme.
