DESCRIPTION:What is Mini Camp?\nMini Camp is an incredible weekend; jam-packed with fun CISV activities\, top notch educational content\, awesome people\, energizers galore\, and so much more! Our awesome group of junior leaders (with the help of their adult counterparts) are planning an amazing mini camp for you and other CISVers from the Southern Region. \nA mini camp is a 2-3 day program organized by a local chapter that imitates what it would be like to spend time at a national or international CISV program. It brings together experienced CISV participants and others\, that may be new to CISV\, to learn what CISV is all about. It is a fun weekend that aims to build cross-cultural understanding\, empathy\, and peace. Come join us to make friends and work toward building a more just and peaceful world. \nHow do I register?\nYouth participants may register here: Registration for Atlanta SRMC 2023 \nPlease also complete the necessary attendance forms below: \nYouth Legal Form For participant.   (Ages 10 -17) \nAdult Legal Form – for Chaperones and Staff  (Ages 18+) \nWhat is the registration and payment deadline?\nOctober 20 \nHow much does it cost?\nThe cost is $175 – $200. The earlier you register\, the lower the price. \n\n$175 if registered by 9/1/2023\n$190 if registered by 9/30/2023\n$200 if registered by 10/20/2023\n\nHow do I pay the registration fee?\nPay the fee on the Event Website at https://atlanta.cisvusa.org/event/2023-atlanta-srmc-nov-10-nov-12-2023/ \nIf you are interested in financial aid for minicamp fees\, please email the CISV Jax Treasurer. \nWhat are the ages?\nMini Camp is open to participants ages 10 to 21 and adult chaperones. \nWhat is the SRMC location?\nFortson 4-H Center (www.fortson4h.org)\n999 Fortson Road\nHampton\, GA  30228\n\nWhat Chapters are invited?\nAtlanta\, Chattanooga\, Jacksonville\, Miami\, Smoky Mountain \nWhat should I bring?\n• Comfy clothes you can move in\n• Dress for the weather! Bring clothes for 2 days.\n• Sleeping bag or sheets and blanket. Extra blanket if cool.\n• Pillow\n• Towels\n• Shower shoes or flip flops\n• Closed toe shoes/sneakers/running shoes\n• Toiletries (toothbrush\, toothpaste\, soap\, deodorant\, etc.)\n• Sunscreen and bug spray\n• Reusable water bottle\n• Flashlight\n• Raincoat\n• A smile! \nDO NOT BRING A CELL PHONE.  WE WILL TAKE YOUR CHILD’S CELL PHONE AND PUT IT IN A LOCKED CAR DURING CAMP. CISV IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE TO CELL PHONES. \nWhat are other issues to know?\n• Arrival should be between 7-9pm on Friday night.  We will arrange carpools or a vans to Atlanta or you can arrange a flight for the participant.\n• Departure: Camp ends at 2pm on Sunday\n• Meals will be provided from Saturday breakfast to Sunday lunch.
