DESCRIPTION:What is Mini Camp?\nMini Camp is an incredible weekend; jam-packed with fun CISV activities\, top notch educational content\, awesome people\, energizers galore\, and so much more! Our awesome CISV Jacksonville Junior Branch Board are planning an amazing mini camp for you. \nFun theme: Disco\nSince many of the participants are from different schools\, the minicamp will start with “name games” and other “getting to know you activities so don’t worry about not knowing anyone when the camp begins. Saturday and Sunday will be full days with 4-5 activities surrounding this theme. Each activity will be followed by a “debrief” where we discuss our “attitudes\, skills and knowledge” that have been changed or influenced by the activity. \nHow do I register?\nYouth participants register here: https://form.jotform.com/82337130653149. \nAdult chaperones and participants age 18+ register here: https://form.jotform.com/200045401158138 \nMinicamp is currently filled.  If you would like to be added to the waiting list\, please email cisvjax@gmail.com.\nHow much does it cost?\n$150 if you register by Feb 1. The camp fills quickly and registrations may not be available after Feb 1. Any late registration would be $175. Several partial scholarships may be available based on need. We request you let us know if mailing a check. \nIf you are interested in scholarship assistance for minicamp fees\, please complete the Minicamp Scholarship Form. \nWhat are the ages?\nMini Camp is open to participants ages 10 to 21 and adult chaperones. \nWhat is the Minicamp location?\nCamp St. John in Saint Johns County\, Florida \nWhat is the camp address?\n235 Marywood Drive St. Johns\, FL 32259 (off SR13\, 3 miles south of Racetrack Rd.) \nWhat is the campsite?\nCamp St. John is a part of the Marywood Retreat and Conference Center operated by the Catholic Diocese of St. Augustine. Marywood Retreat and Conference Center rests on the St. Johns River just minutes from Jacksonville and St. Augustine. Its 100 acres of beautiful tranquility is accented with towering live oak trees and gardens making it a perfect environment for any type of gathering. More info here: https://marywoodcenter.org/camp-st-john/ \nWhat are the transportation arrangements for Jacksonville?\nAs the camp is local\, we will not be organizing any formal carpools to and from the camp. Informal carpools are encouraged. We do need to know on your registration form\, who will be picking up your camper on Monday. \nWhat should I bring?\n• A individually wrapped snacks to share. Don’t bring snacks that need to be refrigerated\n• Comfy clothes you can move in.  We have a Wild West theme so bring your cowboy/cowgirl and Western wear if you have them.\n• Dress for the weather! It can be cool or hot in Feb. Enough for 2 days\n• Sleeping bag or sheets and blanket. Extra blanket if cool.\n• Pillow\n• Towels\n• Shower shoes or flip flops\n• Closed toe shoes/sneakers/running shoes\n• Toiletries (toothbrush\, toothpaste\, soap\, deodorant\, etc.)\n• Sunscreen and bug spray\n• Reusable water bottle\n• Flashlight\n• Raincoat\n• A smile! \nWhat are other issues to know?\n• Arrival should be between 7-9pm on Friday night to Camp St. John\n• Arrive having already eaten dinner\n• Departure: We will leave the camp around 10:00 am on Monday\n• Meals will be provided from Saturday breakfast to Monday breakfast and that price will be included in the camp fee.\n• Camp T-shirts are included in the registration fee. \nWhat is the cell phone policy?\n• It is recommended that you leave your cell phone at home.\n• Only adult chaperones and the Junior Branch board members are permitted to have cell phones during minicamp.\n• If you bring your phone\, the minicamp chaperones will put your phone in a labeled plastic bag and lock it in the trunk of a car during minicamp.\n• CISV Jax is not liable for a lost or damaged cell phone. \nWhat are CISV’s behavior guidelines?\nPlease read the R-07 Behavior Policy here or  at www.cisv.org/assets/R-07_Behaviour_Policy \nQuestions before camp?\nJust e-mail us at cisvjax@gmail.com.
