Creating Peace in the 904
CISV Jacksonville creates peace in our area in three main ways: Junior Branch, Mini-Camp, Mosaic, and FACES of Jacksonville.
*Junior Branch members (JBers) are local CISVers who develop their intercultural and leadership skills through community service and social activities. Check out our monthly JB events in the calendar and on the CISV JB Jacksonville Facebook Page. We try to post details a month ahead of time but if you have questions about an event, please e-mail us!
* Mini-Camp is held three times a year: President’s Day (local Jacksonville only), Memorial Day weekend (National Minicamp with JBers from every USA CISV chapter) and Labor Day (with JBers from all CISV Chapters in the Southern Region) weekends. Everyone is welcome!
* In 2013, FACES of Jacksonville celebrated its 10th anniversary (making it the longest-running residential CISV Village in the nation). FACES was founded by former City Council President Lad Daniels on the CISV principle of global friendship, while developing future community leaders at home.
Thanks to Kerry McClure for commemorating the FACES 10th anniversary with this video:
